EFAA’s Housing Program supports families with children under the age of 18 who are experiencing homelessness. As Boulder’s official Family Resource Center, EFAA operates 57 emergency and transitional shelter units in Louisville, Longmont, Lafayette, and Boulder. In 2021, EFAA provided housing for 125 families experiencing homelessness, including 255 children. 94% of families who participated in EFAA’s housing program moved into safe and stable housing upon exiting.
In June 2022, EFAA closed on a 10-unit Nederland property. In January 2023 they will start short-term housing here, with priority being given to older adults and families with children experiencing housing insecurity. It is not a drop-in homeless shelter, and is not permanently affordable housing.
They also run a Food Bank. In December they host a holiday toy drive to make the holiday season brighter for children and teens in our community.
