QAQG Guild Meeting Schedule
February 18, 2021 Virtual General Meeting, Speaker Jennifer Rapacki
Jennifer teaches Computer Design using Photoshop Elements for Quilters, Electric Quilt, and FraxHD (a fractal iPad app). She also teaches more traditional techniques: Fabric Weaving, Tatting, and Peekaboo Fabric, A New Twist on Reverse Appliqué.
In her lecture, Creativity Unleashed: Modern Technology for Quilters, she presents many of the possibilities for using a computer as a design tool for quilts along with some samples of her more traditional techniques — fabric weaving and reverse appliqué.
March 18, 2021 Virtual General Meeting, Speaker Melissa Marginet
Get your Motor Running: Learn how to spark creativity in yourself or in your guild with challenges that will have everyone thinking outside the box. This trunk show has more ideas than you will know what to do with to get everyone not only learning new techniques but building their quilting and creative confidence.
Melissa grew up near Bruxelles, Manitoba, and has lived in Manitoba all her life. She currently lives in Beausejour with her husband. They have one daughter and three grandchildren. She has created several patterns and has written a book.
She is the creator and webmaster of Quilt Manitoba, a website that lists quilt resources, links, and activities for quilters living in, or visiting Manitoba.
